Induction
Course overview
Aimed at investment marketers new to the industry or in need of a refresher, the induction is made up of four half-days that cover an introduction to investment management and the state of the industry, as well as an overview of investment marketing fundamentals.
Fully endorsed by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, you will learn and discuss ‘need-to-know’ aspects of the market, regulation, distribution channels and marketing strategies. As well as learning and development, the Induction is an essential learning experience to fast-track team members in becoming more effective in their marketing roles.

What you'll learn

Investment management fundamentals
You will learn about investment management fundamentals, including traditional and alternative asset classes; investment solutions, instruments and styles; risk/reward; inflation; portfolio construction; as well as fund sectors.

The distribution landscape
Understand the nature and role of asset managers; the various functions within an investment management firm and how marketing interacts with them; and learn and discuss ‘need-to-know’ aspects of the European distribution landscape.

Communication and content
You will focus on client motivations and be challenged on how to effectively communicate with clients and make your content work harder. We will also look at recent regulation and the challenges investment marketers face.

Marketing in practice
You will get to know the investment marketing toolkit, reaching the market and the challenges and opportunities of marketing in our industry. We will also look at how the industry is evolving and the changing role of marketing post-Covid.
