What’s your role at White Marble?

I’m a Consultant at White Marble, having worked here for three years at this point. I collaborate with a range of clients across the asset and wealth management industries, predominately on digital projects (as my job title would suggest).

Although I’ve dabbled in a vast array of digital projects, I’d say that my particular areas of expertise are social media, analytics and reporting, SEO and project management. I’d also count UX design and website-building among my specialisms, although from a project management perspective – by no means am I a graphic designer or developer.

What prior experience do you bring?

Prior to joining White Marble, I was a lost university student trying to understand what motivated me and which field I wanted to enter. I knew that I loved marketing and anything digital but was unsure of how to translate these passions into a tangible career path.

Ever since I saw Gordon Gekko in Wall Street I was intrigued by the world of finance, and this preoccupation was only deepened by Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance in The Wolf of Wall Street. The world revolves around finance and it shapes so many facets of everyday life, which I find fascinating. Ultimately, White Marble offered an ideal melding of my interests in finance and marketing.

What’s your favourite hobby or pastime?

In my free time I love to play and watch football and basketball. I’m a die-hard Arsenal supporter, so my life has naturally been filled with upset and misery as the club has continually failed for the last 18 years (I’m hoping for a better season this year!). Apart from watching Arsenal lose I enjoy going to the gym, travelling to different cities and spending quality time with my friends.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I can name every capital city in the world.

What’s a pet peeve of yours?

I would have to say that my biggest pet peeve is when my housemates forget to wash their dishes. I don’t want to sound like a ‘Karen’, but I absolutely detest a sink full of dishes.

What can’t you live without?

I would say that I have quite a few ‘can’t live withouts’, but the most important thing that I need every day is a cup of tea each morning. I simply can’t function without it.
