What’s your role at White Marble?
My role at White Marble is Head of Creative Services, so projects with a creative element will pass through either me or a member of my team of awesome designers. I strive to make sure that all creative output adheres to the highest standards and is never just ordinary. This can be manifested in big campaign ideas, crafting innovative layouts, art directing photo and video shoots or any combination of the above.
What prior experience do you bring?
Before I joined White Marble I worked for creative agencies that specialised in financial services and pharmaceuticals, based both in London and overseas.
I was attracted to White Marble because of their strong vision of what their business both was and could become. I also appreciated their friendly and forthcoming style of communication, which is the antithesis of so many of today’s creative agencies.
What’s your favourite hobby or pastime?
Commissioning some of the best photographers in their field has inspired me to take my own pictures. This is a hobby that has become a side project for me, with some of my work becoming available on Getty Images. I’m also working on the perfect espresso, to complement my spectacular chocolate fondants.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I was once mobbed by a group of tourists in Tokyo who were utterly convinced that I was a famous pop star that they recognised from TV. They finally gave in and let me go, but not before forcing small gifts on me.
What’s a pet peeve of yours?
Badly kerned headlines. Unless they’re so bad they’re good.
What can’t you live without?
See hobby above. ☕️ 🧁
