What’s your role at White Marble?

I work on a variety of consultancy projects including campaign planning and execution, often targeting different audiences in the Dutch or European markets. In addition to this, I am part of White Marble’s Sustainability and Brand teams, where I mainly focus on our recent B Corp submission, internal sustainability-based projects and the company’s internal processes.

What prior experience do you bring?

My background is in marketing and events. I bring a unique perspective to White Marble, informed by my experience of the events industry within the oil and gas storage sector. In this industry, I managed the marketing of two large annual industry exhibitions, an annual awards ceremony and other networking events.

Further, I was involved in the production of an industry publication, and also delivered successful product marketing campaigns for audiences across Europe and Asia. On top of this busy schedule, I advanced my professional development by completing the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing.

What’s your favourite hobby or pastime?

One thing I love is exploring different cultures, especially through the range of cuisines that the world has to offer. I’m a big fan of Cycle and yoga as well. Join me on the bike at Psycle or Boom Cycle one day – I’m sure you’ll love it too!

What’s a fun fact about you?

I am funnier in Dutch. Even though English and Dutch humour are quite similar, I have to say that my contributions to English ‘banter’ remain a work in progress. Either the moment has passed, or I made exactly the right comment without knowing. So please tell me when I am being funny.

What’s a pet peeve of yours?

I’m not a fan of people chewing gum openly. Grim. Side note: I wanted to say ‘grim’ in my bio as this is my favorite English word. Luckily, it matches my pet peeve.

What can’t you live without?

I can’t live without Google Maps. I use it daily. I love the feature that allows you to save your favourite places or those that you want to visit, which is especially handy in London. A separate benefit is that it can hide my questionable sense of direction.
