What’s your role at White Marble?

My role at White Marble is Marketing Assistant. The first part of my role involves working on our internal marketing and campaigns, including our monthly community newsletter. The second revolves around assisting the team in various other tasks, such as supporting client projects and organising events.

What prior experience do you bring?

Before joining White Marble I studied for four years at Loughborough University, leaving with an Undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Work Psychology. I am keen to make use of the unique understanding of human behaviour and interactions within organisational settings established by my Psychology background in my current role.

What’s your favourite hobby or pastime?

Now this may sound a little sad, but I have got really into cross-stitching (pretty rock and roll, I know). I feel like a lady of the manor making a cute little bookmark for my nan. I do also love being around my friends having stupid conversations about nothing and belly-laughing. Sometimes the two worlds collide and we cross-stitch while having stupid conversations. Are we old people trapped in the bodies of 20-year-olds…?

What’s a fun fact about you?

I managed to get into an international athletics competition (I came last, but oh well), and thus have adopted the self-proclaimed title ‘Lizzie Hughes, international athlete’. The name is yet to stick but I’m working on it.

What’s a pet peeve of yours?

People who come back from nights out singing the worst songs at the loudest volume humanly possible. Enough is enough. I don’t want to wake up at 4AM to a rendition of Sweet Caroline sung by the entourage of ‘Mike’s stag do’.

What can’t you live without?

My bed. I’d say one of my true passions is laying in bed for ungodly amounts of time and watching things on the TV. Some may call me a slob, but they don’t understand.
