Meet Christian

Christian joined White Marble as a Creative Artworker back in January and has been spread across a variety of projects across all three areas of the business: Consultancy, AIM and Beacon.

Before White Marble, Christian worked for Jupiter Asset Management as a Creative Artworker, covering a range of tasks from delivering creative solutions for sales and marketing collateral to managing the creative teams workload and liaising with internal stakeholders.

What is a fun fact about you?

Before the age of 21 I had completed Jury Service twice! The first juror
summons I received was a few days after my 18th birthday and the
second was just before my 21st birthday.

I really enjoyed the experience and would happily do it again, but I should
probably share the experience and let someone else have a go!

What was your first job?

My first job was as a Sales Assistant at The Entertainer toy shop. It was a really fun experience, not least because I was paid to ‘demo’ toys to children! Over 3 years I pretty much did a bit of everything, including the night shifts which unfortunately were not as fun.

What is the best piece of career advice you have ever received?

“If I had eight hours to chop down a
tree, I'd spend six sharpening my axe”.

This isn’t technically advice someone gave me, but it’s a great way to think when solving problems.

How did you end up here?

After working in-house for a few years, I wanted to make the change back agency side. I had heard about White Marble through a few different people and everyone had such great things to say that when the opportunity came up, I jumped at it.

What excites you most about your job?

The range of projects I get involved in day to day is really exciting. The variety keeps me fresh and the diverse selection of clients means everyday can be different.

If you weren’t working at White Marble and money wasn’t an object
what would you be doing?

Travelling the world with friends and family, whilst eating and drinking from all the different cultures!

What do you think will be the biggest influencing ‘thing’ in
marketing in the next 10 years?

I think working alongside A.I will have a big influence on marketing. If artificial intelligence can collect and refine the huge amount of untapped data that’s out there, then it could really shape marketing for a long time.

What is the best book you have read recently?

A bit late to the party but I’ve recently read the Harry Potter series and actually really enjoyed it!

What is the coolest place you have ever been/ What is your favourite
holiday destination?

Texas.

A close friend lives in Texas so anytime I get the opportunity to visit, I take it. A shock on my first visit was just how big everything is! The stores, malls, roads and trucks (6 wheeled trucks are a real thing) are huge. One of my favourite things to do whilst visiting is watching a Texas Rangers baseball game, the whole time hoping they hit a home run and win the crown a free breakfast!

What is your favourite dessert?

Anything with lemon!
